With Mt. Makiling as the backdrop, surrounded with their colorful gardens, this Spanish-Mediterranean inspired resort gives you the privacy to unwind and bond with peers, friends and family.

Since this is a private hot spring resort, you can enjoy this with the people closest to you. No need to worry about strangers. You can put your stuff anywhere and still feel secure.

Before you take a dip, shower first. There are several shower areas located around the four pools.

My favorite pool is the one with the fountain. Water is pushed up from the four corners of this pool. When you stay in the middle of the pool, you can enjoy how the water falls on your head and shoulders. It’s like getting a light massage.

The other pool I like has mini falls. I enjoy staying below the falls.

The two kiddie pools are 3.5 feet deep while the adult pools are 4-6 feet deep.

Jomar Alzona, who’s the sales and marketing head of this resort, explained that the water is warm because it comes from an underground spring. He said they built pipes that go deep down, kind of like a giant straw that sips underground water to the surface.

When it rains though, the water near the surface of the pools becomes cooler.

My friends and I stayed in what the resort calls “apartments.” They have a building structure with five identical apartments. Each apartment is air-conditioned, has two floors and has bathrooms. They don’t have hot shower but that’s okay because the water coming out isn’t cold. What I like about the bathroom is the bidet. I hope all resorts and hotels have bidets.

The first floor has three beds and can be comfortably occupied by five guests. The apartment’s bathroom is located at the first floor. You can go up the spiral staircase to the second floor. It has three double-deckers and six guests can sleep here. We occupied three apartments, but we only stayed at the first floor of each apartment.

Jomar showed me guests have the option to stay at the presidential suite. It’s more expensive and can accommodate only two persons. But it has a refrigerator, TV, sala and a spacious terrace.

They have an open area they call the clubhouse where tables and chairs can be set-up. More than 80 persons can stay here. There are interesting paintings here of bare-foot Filipinos who appear to be farmers carrying their produce. They’re interesting because the women have red nail polish on their toes.

The air-conditioned counterpart of the clubhouse is the resort’s conference hall. It has its own bar and projectors can be set-up.

There’s a videoke area also where you can select your favorite songs and sing to your heart’s delight.

For meals, you can rent the kitchen or you can request for food to be prepared. We had an awesome breakfast with tapa, tocino, scrambled egg and rice.

The rates may vary depending on the number of persons visiting, kitchen rental or catering. You can call or email the staff so they can give you a quotation based on your requirements.

Full Disclosure: The first time I went to Sentosa Elenita Hot Spring Resort was when we featured the place for the travel show I host entitled “I Love Pinas.” The second time was for an exchange deal for an ad placement in this website where the resort sponsored our stay and our breakfast. But let me assure you that this review is based on my honest opinion and personal observations. My friends, the show’s staff and yours truly took the pictures shown in this article.
