Nuvali Greens and Patches

Posted by: Carlo Lorenzo

I’ve always wanted to experience fruit and vegetable picking. So right after our adventure at Nuvali Wildlife and Bird Sanctuary, we went straight to Nuvali Greens and Patches.

Greens & Patches

It’s a 3-hectare nursery and demo farm. Before we could enter, we had to go through the maze garden which was an actual fun maze that reminded me of Alice in Wonderland.

If you’re familiar with the Filipino song “Bahay Kubo” which means nipa hut, there were vegetables, root crops and other edible plants in the lyrics and all are present in the garden. Among these, I chose to harvest the turnips.

I ate the turnips too, though I think it wasn’t meant for harvesting. It was quite dry.

My nephew picked good tomatoes though.

Many thematic gardens are here. There’s the herbal garden, the spice garden and many more.

There are huts to rest in. You can bring food and eat your lunch here too with your fresh picks.

I had a lot of fun. These destinations though are still in the works and the Nuvali Management promises even more fun in the future. They plan to put up zip lines, hanging bridges, camping sites and other facilities. I can’t wait!
